3 Oct 43 – Oberleutnant Hans-Wilhelm Verch (commander 2 Battery/ Armored Reconnaissance Battalion GD) and Gefreiter Karl Kaufmann fell in a mortar barrage.
8 Oct 43 – Oberleutnant Arnold (10 Kompanie), Leutnant Folke (9 Kompanie), Oberfeldwebel Friedebach (HQ Kompanie), Obergefreiter Jensen (HQ Kompanie), Obergefreiter Fritz (HQ Kompanie) (all from the Armored Reconnaissance Battalion GD) were captured by the Russians. Only Leutnant Folke returned in 1953 after 10 years as a POW. Nothing is known of the others.
